

As senior vice president of products and technology, Peter George oversees three critical departments for Kronos: engineering; the global product business function; and Kronos Talent Management Division. Long considered a visionary in the technology industry, George strives to reconcile the unlimited potential of technology with the pragmatic practice of building great products.
George joined Kronos as vice president of software development in 1997. Among his many accomplishments at Kronos, George introduced "agile" development to Kronos engineering, enabling the organization to develop technology more quickly and better suited to customer needs. He has also been instrumental in developing Kronos talent management product, putting a premium on providing customers with the best technology to serve their needs. George is known for his open, direct, honest, and hands-on management style.
Before joining Kronos, George spent nearly 17 years at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he learned the real-world practice of creating and leading teams that make great software. He served as lead technologist for the VAX/VMS operating system and for Digital's workstation development and was eventually promoted to director of storage software, responsible for establishing and rapidly growing Digital's storage management software products and business.
George earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and has completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School.
